CONCLUSION
- Side branch access failure is not a frequent situation
- A lot of tip and tricks are available allowing the use of DES
- Side branch protection with jailed wire offerssome advantages but also some disadvantages
- Total securisation (with dedicated delivery system) of side branch access is not solved
- Side branch patency, associated with better immediate and long term outcome remains a major issue requiring specific dedicated stent and friendly user delivery systems
