CONCLUSION

• The proximal segment of a bifurcation isALWAYS bigger than the distal main vessel segment
• Proximal optimization :
  • Is very simple to perform
  • May avoid stent inadequate apposition in the proximal segment of a bifurcation
  • Help the distal strut rewiring
  • Allow a good ostial side branch scafolding with the new DES platforms
  • Can be used for all bifurcation lesions treatment
