FLOW SIMULATIONS – WHAT FOR?
- Compare different techniques of stenting in a realistic setting (neo intimal hyperplasia): classification of treatments, 3 segment diameters and shapes (oval versus round…)
- Predict and localize restenosis ? (flow, drug elution)
- Systematic pretreatment of of a specific bifurcation from a real patient ? (simultaneous simulation and real treatment in a live demonstration…): position of struts in the vessel (in front of the SB++) is unpredictable…(but can be known online from OCT…).
