CONCLUSION
- There is limited experience with dedicated stents for LM bifurcations, showing that these devices may simplify the procedure maintaining or facilitating SB access throughout the treatment
- Most dedicated stents are not designed for the specific characteristics of the LM and do not meet the extreme variations in vessel size, ostial SB opening and bifurcation angle observed in the left main
- The need to cover the LM ostium and the variable length between LM bifurcation and ostium is the Achilles’ heel of nearly all these devices (custom made dedicated stents?)
