Side branch patency after implantation of the novel DESolve bioresorbable vascular scaffold system in the treatment of de novo coronary lesions

Author: Ricardo A. Costa, Cardiovascular Research Center, Sao Paulo, SP, Brazil

OBJECTIVE

Our aim was to investigate the occurrence of SB occlusion after implantation of the novel DESolve bioresorbable scaffold device in single de novo coronary lesions

CONCLUSION

In the prospective, non-randomized, single-arm, multicenter DESolve Nx trial, SB occlusion – as determined by final TIMI flow < 2, after implantation of the novel DESolve bioresorbable vascular scaffold was relatively low (4%) and was not associated with adverse clinical events during index hospitalization.
