We can stent the Left Main trunk, but what is the best technique?
What are the limitations of Provisional SB stenting for distal LM lesions?
Author: T. Lefèvre, ICPS, France
CONCLUSION
- Like for all bifurcation lesions, a provisional SB stenting approach can be used for LM stenting in the majority of cases.
- The specific technical problems can be solved by a systematic use of 2 or 3 wires, proper stent selection and positioning and liberal use of the POT technique.
- Because of the T-shape angulation, T or TAP technique should be used in the majority of cases.
