Contemporary bifurcation treatment practice: what we can learn from a large global registry – e-Ultimaster:

4 continents, 50 countries, 376 sites Study enrolment completed, follow-up ongoing.

> 37,000 patients enrolled

Interim analysis:

1-year follow-up or death n=32,468 patients

Patient treated in bifurcation n=4,077 patients

CLINICAL FOLLOW-UP: 0d, 3m & 1y

An independent Clinical Event Committee reviewed and adjudicated all endpoint- related serious adverse events.

Take-home messages:

•  Provisional stenting is the dominant strategy with an excellent midterm outcome when using a last-generation DES (Ultimaster)

•  POT is associated with a strong benefit whatever the stenting technique

•  When a SB intervention is done, KBT is associated with better outcome than SB ballooning

•  Two-stent technique is no longer associated with a worse outcome with a benefit of KBT on TV-MI in this specific situation
