TRIAL HYPOTHESIS
- Investigator initiated trial, sponsored by Boston Scientific Corporation via CERC
- We hypothesize that modern generation DES facilitate good clinical outcomes using a planned 2-stent bifurcation treatment.
- We anticipate that bifurcation culotte stenting with modern DES platforms will demonstrate outcomes that are better than earlier results from published randomized controlled trials.
- This study will examine outcomes for patients treated by planned culotte stenting and compare outcomes between 2 different stent platforms, the Synergy II and the Xience Xpedition DES platforms.
- The primary outcome measures: clinical and angiographic follow-up parameters assessed at a 9-month time point.
