CONCLUSION

  • Currently Provisional T seems best if no extensively diseased SB ostium
  • However, restenosis SB still an issue
  • Safety issue in DES with distruction of coating / polymers /uncontrolled drug relaese
  • DEB could offer
    • better outcome SB results compared to POBA
    • reduction in late thrombosis (Absence of polymeric coating might eliminate hypersensitivity reactions or late thrombosis phenomena )
    • reduce need for SB stenting
    • reduced need for prolonged sual antiplatelet therapy – Equal results DES vs. BMS + DEB in MB
