CONCLUSION

  • All these data show that a procedure using POT provides significantly beoer mechanical results than KBI, even when modified:
    • with a complete optimal correction
    • maintaining circular geometry
    • without arterial overstretch
    • with a strut free SBO
    • and minimize strut malapposition RePOT is easier to perform and is 5F-compatible.
  • Six contemporary DES after rePOT showed significantly better results than those obtained after FKBI alone but the impact of stent platform do not seem to be trivial.
  • Our preliminary clinical results are very encouraging and replicate in vivo the results obtained on bench tests.
  • The technique can be effec0vely associated to David Hildick-Smith’s “super simple” provisional stenting strategy
