Stenting accross: POT or not?

SUMMARY

  • MB stenting and SB angioplasty altered the local hemodynamic conditions.
  • Once over-expanded, additional stenting or aggressive kissing balloon inflation does not improve local hemodynamic conditions.
  • Over dilatation of proximal and distal MB is the main cause of flow disturbance and requires optimization.
  • Keeping  the “natural law of bifurcation (or fractal ratio)” can reduce the amount of flow disturbance.
