METHODS
- Animals: Yorkshire-Landrace swine (30-35 kg).
- Coronary interventions: Under angiographic guidance, stents were implanted in LAD/diagonal and LCX/marginal bifurcations (B/A ratio of 1.1).
- Aselect implantation of Xience SBA/Xience V (SB>1.8 mm) Recrossing and ‘kissing’ postdilatation
- FU times: acute (n=6 ABS, n=6 XIENCE VR), 7 days (n=6 ABS, n=5 XIENCE VR).
CONCLUSION
Bifurcation stenting is accompanied by vascular injury (thrombus, malapposition).
XIENCE BVS preserves vascular diameter and confers a better coverage of the SB ostium.
