14th EBC Consensus:

This document from the 14th EBC meeting represents highlights of the current consensus and clinical recommendations of the EBC. Particular emphasis has been placed on a careful and sequential approach to bifurcation stenting using the provisional strategy.

Whilst the decision on which technique to use in an individual lesion remains specific to the operator and the lesion, the EBC believes that most bifurcations are best treated in this way rather than committing to a complex two-stent approach at the initiation of the procedure.

Much has already been learned, but the EBC aims to continue to develop its approach, embracing new technology with the aim of improving outcomes for our patients with bifurcation lesions.
