Bifurcation lesions quantitative analysis
Inter-core lab variability in quantitative coronary angiography in bifurcation lesions: The Tryton trial revisited
Author: P.W.SERRUYS,Imperial college,London,U.K. and Erasmus University, Rotterdam, N.L
CONCLUSION
- We found a marked inter-core lab variability in QCA of bifurcation lesions when different QCA methodologies were used
- This includes differences in single vessel vs. dedicated bifurcation software, differences in user-defined vs automatic reference vessel detection and segmentation.
- When the same methodology was used inter-core lab variability decreased considerably.
- QCA results were affected after alignment of methodology.
- This later finding emphasizes the importance of using the same QCA methodology among different core labs world-wide.
